Honey and Milk

Short directed by Lisa Donato

On the last night of their relationship, Grayson (Damian ‘Dame’ Joseph Quinn) and Alice (Jennifer ‘JP’ Parkhill) experiment with ways of dismantling Grayson’s socialized masculinity while reconciling the end of their romantic partnership.

Beyond the recycled tropes of "coming out," director Lisa Donato’s Honey & Milk depicts the ephemeral essence of non-cis, non-performative Nature, catching the raw moments of gender’s transit. This is a Queer story told by Queer folks; Honey & Milk asks us to reclaim unconditional love and define our embodied experience of gender.

“Alicia was a joy to have onset. She's a team player, a generous collaborator, & a brilliant mind.

She choreographed the intimacy sequences while honoring the worlds of the characters & the tones of the script, offering creative ideas that the team had not yet seen. Alicia gave the actors tools for energetic, physical & sexual boundaries. She championed their privacy, ensuring that the set was closed to all but the skeleton crew. She would check in with the well-being of the actors as they were immersed in character. We loved having Alicia on Honey & Milk and would recommend her to anyone!”
